Edward first joined us in 1988 and served until 1999 in positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president and general manager of our South America services. When that business was sold to Hamburg Süd in 1999, Elliott went to work for that company as senior vice president and member of the region North America board, and was responsible for all commercial activities in North America and trade between the U.S. and Latin America theaters.
